CLEVELAND — Three Northeast Ohio men were sentenced for their roles in a scheme to obtain and distribute more than three gallons of PCP and methamphetamine.

Those sentenced include:

  • Nathan Stewart, 40, of North Olmsted, Ohio, was sentenced to six years in prison.
  • Erwin D. Owens, 39, of Compton, California, was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison.
  • Dawuan L. Williams, 47, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, was previously sentenced to seven years in prison earlier this year on Jan. 3, 2022.

In May 2020, investigators with the United States Postal Inspection Service uncovered three mail parcels containing drugs. After securing search warrants, they were able to confirm that each parcel contained approximately one gallon of PCP hidden in acetone containers.

Williams was identified as the recipient of these three parcels in Ohio and Owens was the person who sent them through the mail from California.

Between February and March 2021, inspectors seized two parcels sent from California to multiple addresses in Ohio. These packages were found to contain approximately one kilogram of meth.

Inspectors identified Stewart as the recipient of these packages and Owens, once again, as the sender.
