Suspect who struck 9-year-old boy on bicycle in Parma turns self in

The 9-year-old boy suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

UPDATE:

The Parma Police Department has announced that the suspect wanted for the hit-skip of a 9-year-old boy has turned himself in.

Police say that 38-year-old Milton J. Rullan turned himself into police on Thursday after an officer was able to contact him by phone. Rullan is being charged with one felony count of Hit-Skip/Leaving the Scene.

The Parma Police Department is investigating a hit-skip incident that saw a boy on a bicycle struck by a car on Tuesday.

According to reports, the incident happened at around 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Officers responded to the 4700 block of Sheraton Drive for a hit-skip involving a 9-year-old boy on his bike and a 2008 Ford Escape.

Police say the boy suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital. Officers found the vehicle involved in the hit-skip at about 4:10 a.m. on Wednesday morning at Ries Ice Rink. It was unoccupied and police had it towed away.
