CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of the FBI and the Cleveland Division of Police are asking for your help in capturing the suspect who robbed the Dollar Bank inside the Galleria on Monday.
The suspect entered the bank located on 1301 E. 9th Street at approximately 4:06 p.m. According to reports, the suspect appeared to be looking for something. When asked by an employee, the suspect said he was searching for a deposit slip. He was given one by the employee.
The suspect took the deposit ticket and wrote on it, then handed it back to the empoyee. The note apparently said "$20s and $50s=$2000, no bait or trackers." The employee provided an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who then fled the bank and traveled east.
A weapon was not observed and no physical injuries were reported.
The suspect was then seen entering a red vehicle that traveled north on East 9th Street. You can see a photo of the suspect vehicle below.
Tips can be provided to the Cleveland Division of Police, the Cleveland Division of the FBI or Crime Stoppers. Tips can remain anonymous. Reward money is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual responsible.
