SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Two people were found dead late Thursday night at a home in Shaker Heights.
Police tell 3News that officers were dispatched to the scene in the 3000 block of Ludgate Road “to investigate a report of a male causing a disturbance” around 10:47 p.m.
Upon their arrival, Shaker Heights police say officers found four children outside and on the second/third floors of the home and learned “their father had shot their mother.”
“Officers immediately entered the residence and discovered a male and female victim of gunshot wounds,” according to a press release from Shaker Heights police. “Both had succumbed to their injuries.”
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the woman killed in the incident as 35-year-old Danielle Harris of Shaker Heights. The man's identity has not been released.
“Our investigation is ongoing,” police said.
