Cleveland Police investigating 8 shootings, including shots fired at officers

No officers were injured in the shooting.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland Police are investigating eight shootings that occurred between Friday night and Saturday morning, including one in which shots were fired at police officers in front of a downtown nightclub.

According to Cleveland Police, shots were fired at officers in front of Rumor nightclub at W. 6th St./Johnson Ct. around 2 a.m. No officers were injured as a result of the incident.

.The suspect fled the scene in a dark gray Chevy Silverado. Detectives continue to investigate and no arrests have been made at this time.

Other shootings to occur in Cleveland between Friday night and Saturday morning include:

Friday, 9 p.m: 40-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the hand. The incident occurred at E 55th St/Woodland Ave. Unknown suspect.

Friday, 10 p.m: 26-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the foot, reported as accidental/self-inflicted.

Friday,11 p.m: Uknown age male with three gunshot wounds to leg. Unknown suspect. The incident occurred at E 90th St/St. Clair Ave. Taken to hospital by private automobile.

Saturday, 2 a.m: 31-year-old male with a gunshot wound to ankle. Happened at E 167th St/Miles Ave.

Saturday, 3 a.m: 38-year-old male with gunshot wound to abdomen. Unknown suspect. Victim transported to EGH by private automobile.

Saturday, 4 a.m: 49-year-old male gunshot wound to back of the head, suspect is unknown. Occurred at E 79th St/Chester Ave. Transported to hospital by EMS.

Saturday, 4 a.m: 21-year-old male with gunshot wound to right hand reported as attempted robbery in the area of Euclid/Victoria. Transported by EMS to UH.
