CLEVELAND — U.S. Marshals and local law enforcement officers on Friday arrested a man accused of fatally shooting two people in Cleveland earlier this year.
Aric Ward, 34, was arrested by members of the Marshals Service's Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force on two counts of aggravated murder. According to the Marshals Service, Ward was arrested at a home on Woodline Road in Bedford.
Ward's charges stem from a double shooting in the area of East 109th Street and Prince Avenue in Cleveland on June 1. Cleveland police say around 2:45 a.m., officers received a Shot Spotter alert and responded to the scene to find Bralon Shepard, 26, and Sylvon Robinson, 27, dead in a vehicle. Police identified Ward as a suspect and issued an arrest warrant.
“The Cleveland Division of Police continues to work hard for its citizens, solving another homicide investigation," U.S. Marshal Pete Elliot said. "We are happy to work hand and hand with the dedicated officers of Cleveland Police to arrest violent fugitives and keep the city a safe place to live.”
