PARMA, Ohio — A 16-year-old aggravated murder suspect was arrested on Friday afternoon by members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF).
The juvenile was wanted on the charge stemming from a shooting that took place on November 5, 2023, in the area of East 93rd Street and Edmunds Avenue in Cleveland.
Cleveland officers arrived to the scene to find 14-year-old Braylon Hardges who had been shot in the chest and leg. Hardges was pronounced dead after arriving to University Hospitals.
On Friday, the suspect was found an arrested at a residence in the 3100 block of Augustine drive in Parma.
The teen attempted to barricade himself in the house when officers closed in, but eventually surrendered.
U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “It is tragic that a 14-year-old was killed due to senseless gun violence. The US Marshals will continue to assist the Cleveland Division of Police in protecting the citizens of Cleveland by tracking down and arresting these violent fugitives.”
