Lavadus Morris was arrested in the 4100 block of Woodbridge Avenue in Cleveland and is currently being held at the Cuyahoga County jail while awaiting his first court appearance.

Morris is suspected of murdering Terez Avery on June 22 in the area of East 103rd Street and St. Clair Avenue. Additionally, Morris is also accused of murdering Ty'Wan Johnson on Sept. 24, 2022, in the area of East 240th Street and Puritan Avenue in Euclid.

Officials say that Morris is the alleged shooter in both murders.

“The importance of today’s arrest can’t be understated. This individual has been terrorizing our community and needed to be taken off the streets. Our city is a safer place after the hard work of our officers and partners. I hope the families of the victims can find some solace with today’s arrest," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott.

Anyone with information concerning a wanted fugitive is asked to contact the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED (1-866-492-6833).
