EUCLID, Ohio — The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) has captured a suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old Euclid boy last month.
According to Euclid Police Department Capt. Mitch Houser, Keshaun Lamar was killed in the early morning hours of October 1 in the 27500 block of Brush Avenue. Lamar was taken to Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
A juvenile suspect was taken into custody on the same day as Lamar's death.
The Euclid Police Department identified 20-year-old Jay Shan Vance as also being involved in the deadly shooting and warrants for his arrest were issued.
Vance was captured on Thursday by NOVFTF members in the 13400 block of 5th Avenue in East Cleveland.
"The efforts of the Euclid Police Department and our fugitive task force resulted in the arrest of this homicide suspect and hopefully this brings the family of the victim one step closer to justice," U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott.
