AKRON, Ohio — Akron police and officials from the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old woman.
Early Wednesday morning, just after midnight, Akron police were called to the 1100 block of Nome Avenue. When they arrived, they found the woman inside a home. She had been stabbed multiple times in the chest.
The victim, identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner as Sara Stubbs, was taken to the hospital where she later died. Her death has been ruled a homicide.
According to Summit County Police, Rochelle Paul, 36, was taken into custody following an investigation into the incident. Paul was questioned in regards to the murder and is now charged with Aggravated Murder and Felonious Assault.
