CLEVELAND — In a recent episode of Arnold Schwarzenegger's podcast, "Arnold's Pump Club Podcast," the iconic bodybuilder, actor and politician revealed his recent surgery at the Cleveland Clinic to install a pacemaker.
Schwarzenegger, currently recovering from the surgery, said the following on Monday's episode, “I have some personal news to share. Last Monday, I had surgery for a pacemaker and became a little bit more of a machine."
He also went on the praise the team of doctors who successfully installed the pacemaker, "I want to thank my whole team at the Cleveland Clinic. All of the doctors and nurses took amazing care of me and made the surgery as painless as possible."
Schwarzenegger has dealt with heart issues going back to 1997 when he first had open heart surgery to replace two heart valves. He then had the same valves replaced two more times in 2018 and 2020.
