WOOSTER, Wayne County — Wayne County is seeing what the Sheriff's office is calling an "unprecedented amount of rain in a very short amount of time."
The rain began to fall Sunday afternoon, and according to Channel 3 Weather, more is on the way.
The city of Wooster has declared mandatory evacuations across the city. The Wayne County Sheriff's office is working around the clock to get people to safety. They report eight evacuations alone on North Bauer Street, one of the hardest hit areas.
The Ohio Fire Chief's Association has been called in to assist crews with rescues and evacuations. Late Sunday night, the primary focus was the Prairie Lane Lake Park campground. Sheriff's Captain Doug Hunter tells Channel 3 at least 400 campers are there, including people that live there year-round.
The following evacuation centers will give those in need food, water, and shelter.

-Grace Church: 4599 Burbank Rd, Wooster
Not far away, the city of Apple Creek had their hands full as well. Four people were rescued from a home on Dover Road in the city Sunday afternoon.
The Apple Creek Fire Department has declared all roads as impassable due to high water levels. The village has also been "shut down." Evacuations continued late into Sunday night.
No injuries have been reported. The Wayne County Sheriff's office is urging residents and drivers to stay out of the area.
