Diet app from the Cleveland Clinic: Nutrition plans, food tracker and more

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Clinic is putting health advice right at your fingertips as the hospital system has partnered with a company called FitNow to launch the Cleveland Clinic Diet App.

The goal is to offer health and wellness advice built on evidence-based nutrition science as well as a food and fitness tracker.

The Cleveland Clinic lists the following highlights of the app:

  • Track what you eat daily
  • Follow your customized nutrition plan
  • Commit to regular movement
  • Dive into insightful wellness courses
  • Discover recommended recipes and expert advice
  • Log your progress and celebrate achievements

Cleveland Clinic dietitian Julia Zumpano says the app is intended to help you make better health and lifestyle choices.

“The app was really designed to use the resources that FitNow has in regards to tracking certain nutrients, and it’s really a holistic approach to improve your overall well-being through nutrition,” Zumpano says.

The app is available to download HERE for a seven-day free trial. The cost is then $10 per month.
