Chardon Sheetz employee tests positive for coronavirus

CHARDON, Ohio — An employee at the Sheetz location on Water Street in Chardon has tested positive for coronavirus.

The store is now closed and will be cleaned and sanitized by a professional service. The gas pumps will also be cleaned and sanitized.

"We are working with employees who may have had close contact with this employee," Sheetz Public Relations Manager Nick Ruffner said in a statement. "This location will not reopen until we have ensured that all steps have been taken to protect our community."

Ruffner added that all employees will be fully paid while the store remains closed.
