CLEVELAND — One of Cleveland's most popular restaurants is closing its doors until further notice due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
On Wednesday, Hofbrauhaus Cleveland announced that two of its employees tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week. The two individuals were exposed to the virus outside of the restaurant, according to Hofbrauhaus' post on social media.
"We take our responsibility to the public very seriously. We have decided to close our doors immediately until further notice as a precaution to keep our city, employees and valued guests safe to thoroughly clean and sanitize our entire facility following health officials’ guidelines before moving forward with any food services," the restaurant wrote.
Hofbrauhaus says it will post updates on its social media channels as they become available.
