Kemper House utilizes technology to connect patients to loved ones during 'stay-at-home' order

The nursing facilities in Strongsville and Highland Heights are keeping residents connected with their family and friends, even when physical visits aren’t possible.

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — In a time where care facilities have to be extremely cautious of who comes through their doors, it is incredibly easy for residents to disconnect from the outside world and feel alone.

Kemper House, located in Strongsville and Highland Heights, have realized that it is especially pertinent that their occupants stay engaged with the ones they love outside of their walls.

The facilities, which specialize in Alzheimers and other dementia related illnesses, has worked tirelessly with their IT department to set up lines of communication to the outside world through the help of technology, specifically iPads.

Using the iPads to video call and chat with family members, Kemper House has also helped to keep their residents mentally active during this global pandemic.
