Social media reacts to health officials warning Ohio to not open up too quickly

Many Ohioans are voicing their concerns over a possible second wave of COVID-19.

CLEVELAND — Health officials across the state are warning Ohioans that trying to open up quickly on May 1 may be more dangerous than previously thought.

The possibility of a second wave is what Governor DeWine and Dr. Acton have been trying to avoid for weeks now, but with the state to deciding to start reopening on May 1, many are concerned that all of Ohio's hardwork will have been wasted.

3News asked what people thought of the warnings.

"The thing that worries me most is the re-opening of the bars. It needs to happen, but people lose self-control when they drink." - Matt Hahner

"Health officials shouldn't be the ones making the call. They are just one input. They aren't monitoring the damage to the economy and including that." -- Brian Picard
