We have some great news to share!
3News’ Danielle Wiggins gave a new update Sunday on social media as her recovery continues after undergoing surgery following her breast cancer diagnosis.
“My hairstylist will have to put making that wig for me on hold. Doctors say test results show no need for chemotherapy in my breast cancer treatment plan and I was cleared to slowly return to my normal life,” she wrote. “Praising God that the weapon formed against me did not have the chance to prosper.”
She included the following hashtags, too:
- #EarlyDetection
- #Prayer
- #GreatMedicalTeam
- #GreatPeopleAroundMe

Wiggins publicly shared her breast cancer diagnosis, telling her story in mid March.
“I want life,” she said before surgery. “I want people who bring life around me. On the morning show, it has been a great distraction. You’ll hear me in the background laughing, but it helps because it brings life.”
In a previous update last month, Wiggins announced that her procedure “went well.”
“My medical team at the Cleveland Clinic was able to extract the known cancer through surgery. I was recently informed the cancer was caught in the early stages. (That breast self-exam I told you about in the story shared on WKYC Channel 3 - Cleveland and not delaying my first mammogram screening were key to early detection.)”
