"Let's Be Clear" is all about transparency. WKYC has a clear, mobile newsroom that we're taking across the state to talk to those making headlines in Ohio. Whether you agree with the guest, disagree, or are a fan of them, we know you have questions for them.
True Clevelanders don't eat hot dogs without Bertman ballpark mustard.
The condiment is the anchor to the Cleveland-based company, which also makes horseradish sauce and a collaborative mustard with Great Lakes Brewing Company.
On Wednesday, Bertman CEO Michael Mintz join WKYC's Let's Be Clear to discuss the classic Cleveland brand, and to hint at some plans for its future.

Bertman ballpark mustard can be found at Progressive Field, a partnership that dates back to founder Joe Bertman's days in charge. Mintz noted that many Bertman fans first discover their love for the ballpark mustard while at an Indians game, making the collaboration an important part of the brand's success.
"He [Joe Bertman] created the relationship way back when at League Park," Mintz said. "People loved it on the hot dogs and said, 'We want more' and it spread like wildfire."
Mintz revealed a special hint at two new products in the works: a hot sauce and a new flavor of horseradish. He said the products have been tested and are ready for bottling, meaning they should hit store shelves in 2020. Mintz also said a "hotter" mustard is in the works.
"We're very excited about it," Mintz said. "There's a lot of hot sauces out there, and we haven't found anybody that's tasted this in the taste tests that doesn't love it."
Another important piece of Bertman's future is branching to national grocery stores. Northeast Ohioans can find the product at most major grocery chains, but Mintz said he hopes fans in California can soon find it there. In the meantime, Bertman also focuses on its online store, where shoppers can buy all of its products.
"It's too good a brand to not share with everyone," Mintz said.
