CLEVELAND — On Wednesday's 3News Now with Stephanie Haney, the top headlines include this morning’s impeachment inquiry hearing testimony, the 62nd Grammy Awards nominations and what to watch out for in tonight's fifth Democratic primary debate.
On Wednesday, U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon D. Sondland testified that he worked with former Mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani on prodding Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden at the “express direction” of President Donald Trump and pushed a “quid pro quo” with Kyiv by withholding aid because it was what Trump wanted.
In response Trump said on Wednesday afternoon that at the time of the July 25 call with the Ukranian president at the center of this investigation, he said: “I want nothing. I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo.”
With this fresh in everyone's mind, we'll take a look at what to expect in this afternoon's impeachment inquiry hearings.
3News' Tiffany Tarpley and producer Monique Zappa will also stop by the live stream to talk about the launch of their new series, Reality Break, hosted by Tiffany along with Jasmine Monroe and Danielle Wiggins. Big names that are a part of season one include actress and screenwriter Yvette Nicole Brown, comedian and TV host Loni Love, author Romona Robinson and Cleveland Indians in-stadium host Gabriella Kreuz.
We'll also take a look at episode 2 of the Amy Should Be Forty podcast with senior reporter Drew Horansky, which focuses on the suspects in the disappearance and murder of Amy Mihaljevic, 30 years ago and was found brutally murdered.
