Summit County Sheriff's detectives arrest Akron man for allegedly downloading child pornography

The Summit County Sheriff's Office says more charges against Kanden Mancino are pending the outcome of the investigation.

AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man was arrested on Tuesday after the Summit County Sheriff's Detective Bureau received a tip that he had downloaded child pornography.

According to a release from the Summit County Sheriff's Office, the tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force led detectives to an IP address at the Akron residence of 23-year-old Kanden Mancino. 

During a search of Mancino's house, officials say Summit County Sheriff's detectives found "several images" of suspected child pornography. 

Mancino was arrested and charged with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. 

He was booked into the Summit County Jail. The Summit County Sheriff's Office says more charges are pending the outcome of its investigation.
