Court records filed Tuesday show Suggs was indicted by a Summit County Grand Jury on multiple charges, including aggravated murder, murder and felonious assault in connection with the death of Marquise Banks.

Officials say the incident happened on Aug. 3, 2023, when a passenger in a pickup truck fired several rounds at a Lincoln SUV on I-77 South in Green, near the Akron-Canton Airport. As the truck fled the area, the Lincoln veered across the median and into the northbound lanes, where it struck a Mercedes, that was not initially involved in the incident.

Banks, the driver of the Lincoln, was later pronounced dead at Summa Akron City Hospital. The driver of the Mercedes was also injured in the crash.

Suggs was previously arrested by Summit County Sheriff's deputies at home on Florida Avenue in Akron on Monday, Dec. 11 -- over four months after the incident.

Currently, Suggs is being held at the Summit County Jail on a $1 million bond.
