AKRON, Ohio — Akron Police are investigating an incident that resulted in a 32-year-old man being fatally stabbed on Friday.
According to Akron Police, officers responded to a stabbing at a residence in the 500 block of E. Market Street at approximately 3:35 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 32-year-old stabbing victim who was critically injured and later pronounced dead at the scene.
A 64-year-old man who was determined to have been involved in an altercation with the man was detained at the scene. It is believed that the 32-year-old man was stabbed multiple times during the altercation.
The 64-year-old man was transported to the police station for questioning. Following witness statements and additional information and evidence collected, no charges have been filed at this time.
