Do you know who this is? Akron police release photos of person of interest connected to Friday robbery

AKRON, Ohio — Akron police have released photos of a person of interest in connection with a robbery that happened Friday night in hopes the public can help identify them.

Akron police say it was around 8:20 p.m. when officers responded to the scene in the 500 block of North Main Street where they met with a 19-year-old victim who told police he found an unknown male in the back seat of his car.

The suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and forced him to drive to a nearby ATM on East Cuyahoga Falls Avenue.

“After withdrawing an undisclosed amount of cash, the victim exited his car and the suspect got into the driver’s seat and drove away,” according to Akron police.

The victim’s Toyota Camry was later recovered in the 400 block of Butler Street.

The suspect, however, has not been located.
