AKRON, Ohio — Police in Akron confirm a body was pulled from the waters of Summit Lake early Wednesday evening.
According to officials, a passerby reported seeing the body near the 300 block of Ira Avenue around 5:45 p.m. Members of the Akron Fire Department's Dive Team later entered the water and recovered the remains of the deceased male.
The victim has been identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner as 43-year-old Roniel Lee Otis from Akron. An autopsy is pending.
