AKRON, Ohio — Parasson’s has been a staple of Northeast Ohio for decades -- and the company has just announced some big changes for its Italian restaurants, including the reopening of the dining room at their Akron location.
The updates, which we explore below, was shared in a statement on Parasson’s site:
PARASSON’S AKRON TO REOPEN DINING ROOM
After operating as a takeout business in recent years amid the COVID pandemic, the Parasson’s location at 959 E. Waterloo Road in Akron will officially reopen their dining room starting Monday, June 3.
The restaurant is also now open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
PARASSON’S CLOSURES IN BARBERTON AND STOW
As the Akron restaurant prepares to reopen its dining room, Parasson’s has announced plans to close their locations in Barberton and Stow.
“To simplify and streamline operations and to improve efficiency, we are consolidating our restaurants into a single location,” says Tony Parasson, president and son of the company’s late founder. “This will better enable us to continue to provide the excellent homemade food, service, cleanliness and value that our customers have come to expect since our founding in 1960.”
The Akron Parasson’s location was chosen as the company’s statement says it is centrally located between Barberton and Stow, while noting it “has always been our busiest location.”
“All employees at our Barberton and Stow locations have been offered jobs at our Akron location,” according to the statement from Parasson’s. “We would like to thank all of our loyal Barberton and Stow customers and invite them to visit us in Akron.”
Parasson’s also says they have expanded their delivery options by partnering with DoorDash within a 10-mile radius of the Akron restaurant, “which encompasses some of our Barberton and Stow customers.”
“We are proud to be a local, family-owned business that has been serving the community and making memories for over 64 years,” according to their statement. “We look forward to celebrating our grand reopening with you.”
