ASHTABULA, Ohio — The Ashtabula Police Department Narcotics Investigative Unit (APDNIU)/FBI Safe Streets Task Force seized thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs, paraphernalia and weapons after an investigation led them to multiple residences in the city.
On Wednesday, February 24, investigators uncovered the following at a residence in Ashtabula:
- 900 grams of methamphetamine
- 30 grams of cocaine
- 365 grams of marijuana
- $1,100 in cash
- Digital scales
- Two firearms
The initial investigation led investigators to a separate residence which uncovered the following:
- 62 additional firearms
- 52 grams of methamphetamine
- Suspected fentanyl pills
- Psilocybin mushrooms
- Small amount of cocaine
- Digital scales
- Drug packaging
The street value of the drugs seized is estimated to be approximately $54,000. The street value of the firearms seized is estimated to be approximately $75,000.
The identity of the suspect or suspects have yet to be revealed.
Ashtabula police say the investigation is still ongoing. Charges are expected to be filed soon.
