CANTON, Ohio — The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a 24-year-old father in connection to a 2021 death of a 4-month-old baby in Canton.
Javion Milan was taken into custody on Thursday night outside his place of employment after being wanted for alleged murder, felonious assault and endangering children. Milan was taken to the Stark County Jail.
On Aug. 31, 2021, a 4-month-old baby was found unresponsive at a home on Rem Circle Northeast in Canton and was taken to Mercy Medical Center.
On Oct. 13, 2022, a grand jury indicted Milan, and issued a warrant for his arrest after the Canton Police Department conducted an 'extensive investigation' on the baby's injuries.
“Members of the Canton Police Department, County Prosecutors Office and the Stark County Sheriff’s Office worked diligently over the past year to bring charges against this suspect," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. "Crimes against children are always especially heinous and members of our task force will work to ensure that people who commit such crimes are removed from society.”
