CANTON, Ohio — One person was killed following a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning in Canton.
The Canton Police Department says that it responded to a report of an accident with injuries in the 400 block of 30th Street NW at 12:30 a.m. According to police, the incident occurred when a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling west on 30th Street NW and struck a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox that was turning east onto 30th Street NW from a residential driveway.
The operator of the motorcycle was ejected from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. It is currently unknown if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
