CANTON, Ohio — Officials with the Stark County Hunger Task Force have announced their offices and emergency pantry will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3 and Friday, Feb. 4 “due to the threat of inclement weather.”
“Any individual in need of emergency food assistance during this closure is encouraged to contact the county-wide referral service 2-1-1 for a list of distribution sites in their area,” officials said in a press release early Wednesday afternoon.
The emergency pantry and their senior box distribution will resume regularly scheduled hours on Monday, Feb. 7 at 9 a.m.
The Stark County Hunger Task Force, which was founded in 1981, is located at 408 9th Street SW in Canton. They provide free groceries to more than 34,000 people every month.
