CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department paid tribute to lives lost in the line of duty with their annual memorial parade Friday morning.
“Parade participants include officers from local, county, state and federal agencies throughout the U.S. and Canada; and surviving family members of officers who made the supreme sacrifice,” organizers said.
It traveled along Lakeside Avenue before coming to an end at the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial in Huntington Park, which then hosted a memorial service in “keeping the promise to never forget our fallen heroes.”
These memorial events are part of the 37th annual Police Week.
