CLEVELAND — Detectives with the Cleveland Division of Police are investigating after discovering a body at Edgewater Park Beach late Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials, officers responded to Edgewater Park around 3 p.m. to assist Cleveland Metroparks Police and the United States Coast Guard for reports of a body located on the ice covering Lake Erie.
A preliminary investigation found that the body of a woman was found approximately a half-mile from the Edgewater Park Pier. Members of the Homicide Unit are still on scene investigating this matter.
No other information is available at this time.
