CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Fire responded to the scene of a chemical spill that took place inside the Nippon Paint Plant on Berea Road Tuesday night.
A HAZMAT crew was called in along with members of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to help clean up the area. Cleveland fire officials say the spill was contained to one area.
There have been no reports of any injuries. As a precaution and to allow for emergency vehicle access to the scene, Berea Road was closed from West 110th to West 117th streets. The roadway has since reopened.
