Cleveland Heights residents report 'barrage' of shots fired overnight; bullet holes found in nearby house

Cleveland Heights police say they have not identified any suspects and are currently investigating the incident.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Cleveland Heights police are investigating a shooting that left bullet holes in a residence in the city.

On Saturday January 6, officers responded to calls of a "barrage" of shots fired in the area of the 3100 block of Lincoln Boulevard.

One of the calls indicated that they had seen three juveniles fleeing the area of where the shots originated, but officers were unable to locate any suspects or evidence at that time.

Later on the same morning, a Cleveland Heights resident turned in 10 bullet shells she found while walking her dog to the Cleveland Heights Police Station.

Officers went again to the 3100 block of Lincoln Boulevard to check the area. During their check, they found an additional 10 bullet shells in the front yard of a residence and the sidewalk area.

After this check, another resident on the street reported that they had found multiple bullet holes in their front door and various windows. Bullet fragments were found on multiple levels of their house.

Cleveland Heights police say they have not identified any suspects and are currently investigating the incident.
