CLEVELAND — Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) has announced the completion of the first of 13 planned restroom renovations in its terminal. The new restrooms are located in the airport's food court.
Restrooms in the renovation project will also include the set across from the north checkpoint and all restrooms on Concourse C.
Among the updates you'll notice:
- Modern fixtures and added amenities, including an adult changing table added to the family restrooms
- Technology to gain immediate feedback on restroom conditions
- New finishes for the floors, walls, partitions and ceilings
- Improved lighting
The project is expected to last until the spring of 2025.
"This multi-million dollar restroom renovation project is our response to feedback from travelers like you, and is designed to not only provide a better guest experience but also make cleaning easier and more efficient for our hardworking custodial staff," CLE noted in a post on its Facebook page.
“Ozanne Construction Company was awarded the $2.74 million contract to perform the work through a bidding process,” according to CLE.
Some of the funding for the restroom renovation project is coming from $8 million in grants from the Biden Administration that were announced in February.
