CLEVELAND — There’s a new beer in town!
Cleveland Metroparks have announced a partnership with Fat Head’s Brewery to create the Leaf Man Lager, which is a new year-round beer to be released on draft and in 15-pack cans.
The Leaf Man Lager is available at Fat Head’s Beer Hall and Brewery starting Wednesday. Its release will then be expanded the following week to stores, restaurants and bars throughout Northeast Ohio.
“Leaf Man Lager will also be available within Cleveland Metroparks locations including Merwin’s Wharf, golf courses, seasonal concessions and more,” according to a press release from Cleveland Metroparks.
So what does it taste like?
“Leaf Man Lager offers a refreshing pilsner malt character," with light cracker and biscuit-like flavors -- including European noble hops that add bright citrusy and floral notes, according to the news release. It's 4.8% alcohol.
A portion of all proceeds from Leaf Man Lager will support Cleveland Metroparks Trails Fund, which helps expand, rehabilitate and maintain the park district’s trail network.”
“The new lager continues the tradition of Fat Head's award-winning Trail Head Pale Ale that raised over $100,000 for Cleveland Metroparks trails,” officials said. “Together, Cleveland Metroparks and Fat Head’s Brewery have partnered now for over a decade, working together to enhance the trail experience across the Park District’s 325+ miles of trails.”
