CLEVELAND — Three people were injured after an argument led to two men exchanging gunfire near Cleveland's Wade Park early Saturday morning, police confirmed.
According to a spokesperson with the Cleveland Division of Police, a 32-year-old man and his 30-year-old girlfriend were walking in the 7400 block of Wade Park Avenue at around 1:50 a.m. Saturday when they were confronted by the woman's ex-boyfriend.
The police spokesperson said the three broke out into an "argument" before the ex-boyfriend, who was not identified, began shooting at the couple and the 32-year-old man returned fire.
All three people were taken to a hospital by Cleveland EMS. The 30-year-old woman was treated and released, while the two men were admitted to the hospital for their injuries. There is no word on their current condition.
Police did not release the names of any of the individuals involved in the shooting.
The shooting remains under investigation. Police did not share any details on possible charges.
