CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating today after two people were found shot Tuesday evening in Cleveland.
According to officials, police officers were dispatched to the 14000 block of Kingsford Avenue around 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 28 for reports of two people who had been shot inside of a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers located a male and a female inside of a car, both with gunshot wounds. A 36-year-old woman was found in the driver's seat with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. In the back of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man was located with a gunshot wound to the head, as well.
EMS officials arrived on the scene and both victims were later pronounced deceased. The Cleveland Division of Police's Homicide Unit was later called to the scene and a preliminary investigation found that the man in the backseat shot the female in the back before shooting himself.
This matter remains under investigation by Cleveland police.
