CLEVELAND — Editor's note: The video in the player above is from a previously published, unrelated story.
According to officials with the Cleveland Division of Police, an officer was struck while inside of his police cruiser late Thursday evening.
The incident took place around 11:15 p.m. near Tony's Market on West 32nd Street and Clark Avenue.
Officials tell 3News that the officer was struck by another car. No other information is currently available at this time.
3News crews were on scene late Thursday night and were able to visually confirm scratches and a dent on the outside of the passenger side of the police cruiser. Additionally, the passenger-side mirror looked to be broken.
As of 12 a.m., the scene had been cleared by officials with the Cleveland Division of Police.
