CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department is investigating after a 13-year-old girl was shot in the neck in the 16700 block of Quentin Road.
Although police did not provide a time of the shooting, authorities tell 3News the teen’s dad took her to MetroHealth Cleveland Heights Medical Center before being transported via Life Flight to MetroHealth Medical Center.
No additional details were immediately available, but stay with 3News as we will update this story if more information is provided.
This incident is one of three recent Cleveland shootings involving teen victims. Here are details of the other two shootings:
- 13-year-old boy shot and killed: Cleveland police responded to the scene in the 3400 block of East 98th Street around 12 p.m. Sunday. The boy was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital where he later died. Police say the preliminary investigation indicates the victim was shot by another child.
- 16-year-old boy shot: Cleveland police say it was shortly after 12 a.m. when the shooting took place in the 3300 block of East 142nd Street. The teen had a gunshot wound to the left/right arm and the foot. He was taken to University Hospitals in stable condition.
