CLEVELAND — An investigation is underway after an overnight shooting at Public Square in Cleveland.
Cleveland police responded to the shooting scene at around 1 a.m., near Superior Avenue and East Roadway.
Upon arriving, officers found a 36-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken by EMS to a hospital for medical treatment.
Cleveland police told 3News that preliminary information indicates that the "suspect appears to have been involved in a separate aggravated robbery of a vehicle nearby, taking the vehicle from a 31-year-old male at gunpoint. The suspect then fled the area in the stolen vehicle."
Cleveland police say that the stolen vehicle has since been recovered and that the victim of the aggravated robbery sustained minor injuries.
