Cleveland authorities are anticipating very large crowds – especially considering the picture-perfect weather we’re having as temperatures climb into the 60s. City officials urged those coming into downtown Cleveland to keep the following things in mind:

  • Arriving early is best. Increased traffic is anticipated to grow starting around 10:30 a.m.
  • Crowds are expected to be very large since it's the first parade in two years coupled with nice weather conditions. While it will be near 70 in areas away from the lake, spots downtown will be cooler (in the 40s and 50s).
  • Be aware of no parking zones. Vehicles in violation will be towed.
  • If you see something, say something “whatever it might be.”
  • RTA officials say St. Patrick's Day is traditionally their busiest day. To handle the increased ridership, RTA is operating three-car trains on the red line and two-car trains on the blue and green lines throughout the day. $5 roundtrip tickets are available.
  • Plan with family for places to reunite should you become separated.
  • Keep cell phones charged.
  • Stay properly hydrated.
