CLEVELAND — On Monday, the City of Cleveland announced that due to "increased pedestrian and vehicular traffic" East 93rd Street between Bessemer and Health Avenue would remain closed.

Over the weekend, the city of Cleveland joined many cities across the U.S with the creation of a "Black Lives Matter" mural.

Dozens of artists flocked to East 93rd Street Saturday morning to create the large mural spanning several blocks. Since its completion, hundreds of people have visited the site to share in the moment and take photos.

The City of Cleveland provided the following option for detours:

Southbound detour:

  • Use Bessemer Westbound to East 88th Street
  • SB on East 88th Street to Union Avenue
  • EB on Union Avenue to East 93rd Street

Northbound detour

  •  Use Union Avenue westbound to East 88th Street
  •  Northbound on East 88th Street to Bessemer Avenue
  •  Eastbound on Bessemer Avenue to East 93rd Street

The mural was painted Saturday on East 93rd Street by the City in partnership with Cleveland City Council, R.A.K.E. and Graffiti HeArt.
