CLEVELAND — After more than 48 hours since 11-year-old Aye'va Lewis went missing, Cleveland police report locating her.
Police sent a message out around 12:30 p.m. Friday night that Aye'va had been located. This was just hours after search parties were out on Friday in the neighborhood around Kinsman and East 153rd Street scouring abandoned properties and knocking on doors.
Police did not specify how Aye'va was found or how she is doing, but family tells 3News Aye'va is ok, just cold and shaken up. Police also thanked the public for helping find her.
Police originally reported Aye'va as last seen at her home in the 3500 block of E. 153rd Street at 12:30 p.m. on March 30. She was reported missing later that day.
Her mom and grandmother said Aye'va is a homebody, so nothing made sense about her being gone for more than two days.
"You know, we're just trying to figure out where she might have been, cause it's a long street and we don't really know," Aye'va's grandmother, Nina Henderson said.
