CLEVELAND — Kia owners are invited to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium this weekend to have free software upgrades installed.
No appointments are required. Here's the following schedule:
Friday and Saturday (April 19-20)
- 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, April 21
- 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"Once the software upgrade is completed, Kia technicians will apply window decal updates to discourage future criminal activity," a representative of Kia tells 3News.
This free software upgrade option is through a partnership with Kia of Bedford, Halleen Kia, Spitzer Kia West, Ken Ganley Kia Mentor and Preston Kia.
The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is located at 2000 Sycamore Street.
Thefts of both Kia and Hyundai vehicles surged in 2022 after videos appeared online showing how to steal the vehicles, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
