CLEVELAND — A chase involving multiple law enforcement agencies ended on Cleveland's eastside Friday evening with one man in custody.
It all started at a traffic stop when Euclid police unsuccessfully tried to pull a car over.
Police began to pursue the vehicle but stopped the pursuit due to unsafe conditions.
The vehicle the suspect was driving was a black Nissan SUV that police suspected could be involved in a viral video that was released earlier this week.
The video shows two suspects pointing a gun at Cleveland police officer.
According to investigators, an OSHP helicopter spotted the car driving recklessly.
The suspect then fled his car and took off on foot. He then barricaded himself in a home on Colfax Road.
In an undisclosed area near the scene, a gun was located, police say.
The driver of the car eventually surrendered and was arrested.
Due to the preliminary status of the incident, the whereabouts of the second person involved in that video are still unknown.
Earlier this week, Cleveland Councilman and chair of the Cleveland Public Safety Committee, Mike Polensek, said the individuals in that viral video put the officer and themselves in a dangerous situation.
"It could have been a deadly situation," said Polensek."You have to ask yourself 'what were they thinking?'"
A five thousand dollar reward is being offered for with information that leads to an arrest.
