CLEVELAND — The Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT) is honoring fallen veterans with a display of 200 U.S. flags along pathways at Metroparks Edgewater Park.
NEOPAT also released a video on their YouTube page sharing a special message about the holiday.
The video will be posted on social media outlets on Friday, May 27. The flag display at Edgewater Park will remain up until the morning of Tuesday, May 31.
“The display and video are meant to serve as a reminder to all in Northeast Ohio to take a moment this weekend to remember the ultimate sacrifice of those men and women who gave their lives so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today,” said Rick DeChant, NEOPAT Executive Director. “The video also pays tribute to the Charles Kirby Wilcox Honorees that have been recognized annually since NEOPAT’s inception in 2011. They are among the 112 young men and women from Northeast Ohio who have lost their lives serving our country since 9/11.”
