BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Camp Bow Wow dog daycare center in Bedford Heights is closed until further notice after a vehicle crashed into their building over the weekend.
The Bedford Heights Fire Department shared photos from the scene on their Facebook page Sunday (see below), which shows a large hole in the building where the vehicle crashed through.
Their post says the vehicle came off I-480 West, struck a power pole and crashed into Camp Bow Wow in the 23300 block of Aurora Road.
The vehicle also caught fire, according to the Bedford Fire Department.
“Amazingly, the driver was rescued and not injured,” according to the fire department’s post. Police are still trying to determine what caused the driver to go off the road. Impairment is not suspected as a cause.
One dog was killed as a result of the crash. Camp Bow Wow announced that all current boarders have been relocated to Camp Bow Wow Highland Heights.
No additional details were immediately available.
