PEPPER PIKE, Ohio — A suspect was arrested for OVI and multiple other charges after crashing into two Pepper Pike police cruisers on New Year's Day.
At approximately 5:42 a.m., officers were assisting with the loading of a stopped vehicle on I-271 north onto a tow truck when 28-year-old Nicholos Adrian Reid lost control of his vehicle in the adjacent express lanes.
Reid's vehicle came across the median, into the local lanes and struck the police cruisers.
A handgun with 9mm ammo was found in Reid's possession during the arrest.
Reid was arrested on the following charges after the incident:
- OVI
- Reasonable Control
- Improperly Handling a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Driving under suspension
All of the officers and the tow truck operator were unharmed in the incident.
