MAYFIELD, Ohio — The Mayfield Village Police Department is investigating a theft involving two vehicles from a car dealership.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 25, a Jeep with no license plate pulled into the Deacon's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership parking lot. Two men got out of the Jeep and unsuccessfully attempted to steal an SUV from the lot.
They quickly turned their attention to the showroom, breaking glass to gain entry. The men were able to get two SUVs started, drove out of the showroom, before turning right on SOM Center Road.
Police say they believe the men were able to gain access to keys for both vehicles.
The dealership was closed during the time of the theft. Mayfield Village police say they have obtained surveillance video from the dealership, but have yet to release the footage.
